Top 10 most hacked software products

The Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA) released the most hacked software title list, which was published in the 2007 Anti-Piracy Year review report recently.

The SIIA is an acronym for the Software & Information Industry Association. It was founded by Ken Wasch in 1984 to supply its members with special policy marks. Nowadays it is the principal trade association for the software and digital content industry. The association provides more than 800 hundred leading software and information companies with global services in government relations, business development, corporate education and intellectual property protection. Its headquarters is located in Washington DC. The SIIA issues special anti-piracy reports as well.

Today there are more and more sites posting special ways to hack the software products or spreading illegal products in web. Of course, it’s quite difficult for everyone to purchase such expensive products as Adobe ones. However, it also stands to the reason the unlicensed products wouldn’t work well. That’s why Keith Kupferschmid, SIIA SVP of Intellectual Property Policy and Enforcement, stated that they keep on pursuing those who illegally sell or distribute hacked software. This organization has enough means to prevent many people from buying illegal software. Anyway, the Association found not so many end-users having bought pirated software.

Actually, software piracy cannot be stopped by individuals. To manage this problem one needs the cooperation work of different society groups.

Are you using the licensed software? If not, wouldn’t it be better to change it now?
